Local woman went to Florida to find her missing daughter

Posted: August 30, 2010 by John Cain in NEWS

A note from John Cain:
Amber and Cheryl are from Vevay Indiana. I have known the family since 1997. They helped me get on my feet and let me live with them at one time when I worked at the shoe factory in Vevay. I’m sad to hear that this has happened to Amber and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I know this is very tough on you guys. This story was really hard to put together without tearing up. Thanks to the people at Gallatin Health Care for passing out the little ribbons to support one of your own employees. Cheryl is a great woman and will need your support. Thank you.

A candlelight vigil was planned for Turner at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park in Vevay at 8 p.m.

Grass fire at Blue Heron & Testing iphone 4 video quality

Posted: August 27, 2010 by John Cain in NEWS

The Warsaw fire department was called to a grass fire at Blue Heron outside of Warsaw off of HWY 35. While I was there, I thought I’d try out my new iPhone 4 to see if I could bring the news to you faster using iMovie for the iPhone. I can also broadcast LIVE with the phone so expect to see more Live broadcast on gcvideonews.com. This video below was filmed and edited on the iPhone. I can also upload video from the iPhone but not in HD. To get the video in HD, I had to put the video on my computer, then upload it.

The story in the video is true:
A firefighter told me that the cause of the fire is unknown and may have started from a cigarette.
